Film of the works, Revisited by Assemble

Our new film the works, Revisited by Assemble is now available to watch online. This 10 minute film captures the rehearsal of the unique re-enactment of Barry Flanagan’s lost 1969 film 'the works'. Brought to life by Assemble, the Turner Prize-winning collective, Plinth and The Estate of Barry Flanagan, the event took place in the House of Annetta - a community centre in Spitalfields focussed on land justice and housing rights, during London Frieze week, October 2024. This durational performance lasted around three hours and reinterpreted Flanagan’s exploration of materials, labour, and transformation. To watch the full film CLICK HERE.
