Our short film about Barry Flanagan's artistic practice, and the significant contributions he made to visual culture, is now available to watch in full.
Featuring interviews with Bruce McLean, who studied with Flanagan at St Martins, and Jerry Hughes, who worked closely with him at the foundry, the film presents Flanagan's commitment to redefining sculpture’s parameters. The variety of work he created and his inventiveness and versatility is illustrated with new artwork images and archive footage, including his television appearance on The South Bank Show in 1983.
